Satish Jassal Architects is an award-winning architecture practice with extensive experience designing and delivering housing in Haringey. Our work ranges from council-led housing and estate infill to supported living, backland homes and small, difficult urban sites.We have developed a strong understanding of Haringey’s neighbourhoods, planning context and housing needs through a series of built projects across the borough.

At Rowan Court, we designed 46 new council homes for social rent on a constrained former garage site. The development creates a new mews street, public square and landscaped courtyard, with family homes, wheelchair-accessible homes and intergenerational housing. Rowan Court won a RIBA London Award 2026, Civic Trust Award 2026 and Housing Design Award 2025, and was shortlisted for the RIBA Neave Brown Award for Housing 2026.

At Edith Road, eight new council homes were carefully inserted along the edge of an existing estate. The development provides predominantly family housing, including wheelchair-accessible homes, and achieves net zero carbon in operation, with every home overlooking the adjoining park.

Our Haringey work also includes Supported Living Homes, providing 14 supported-living homes using low-carbon construction, and the Haringey Brick Bungalow, an award-winning backland house built on a highly constrained site with access little more than one metre wide.

Across these projects, our approach is consistent: making the most of overlooked and difficult sites while creating high-quality, sustainable homes that respond carefully to their neighbourhood.
