Haringey Brick House 2
A net zero, new three-bedroom family infill house
Satish Jassal Architects has secured planning permission for a new-build, net zero carbon, three-bedroom family home in Alexandra Park, Haringey. The project transforms a dilapidated garage plot to the side of an existing semi-detached house into a high-quality infill development.
Set within a sensitive residential context, the design carefully responds to the scale and character of the surrounding streets. The three-storey home has been developed to integrate seamlessly alongside the existing property, while establishing its own clear architectural identity.
The scheme demonstrates how small infill sites can be unlocked to deliver sustainable housing in established neighbourhoods. The house is designed to achieve net zero carbon in operation through a fabric-first approach, supported by on-site renewable energy technologies.
Particular attention has been given to massing, orientation and layout to maximise natural light, outlook and privacy, while ensuring minimal impact on neighbouring properties. The result is a well-balanced family home that combines environmental performance with high-quality design.
This project reinforces our expertise in delivering low-carbon housing on constrained urban sites, transforming underutilised land into valuable and sustainable homes.
