Orthodontist Clinic, Redbridge

Satish Jassal Architects has designed the remodelling and extension of an established orthodontist clinic in Redbridge, transforming a former semi-detached house into a modern, high-performance healthcare facility.

The project responds to the client’s need to expand capacity and improve functionality. The proposals include additional treatment spaces with two new orthodontic chairs, improved facilities for disabled patients, enhanced staff welfare areas, dedicated education and training spaces, a private consultation room and a specialist denture workshop.

To achieve this, the design reconfigures the existing internal layout while introducing a rear extension and loft conversion. This approach maximises the building’s footprint and volume, allowing the clinic to grow without compromising operational efficiency.

The upgraded layout improves patient flow, enhances the reception and waiting areas, and creates a clearer separation between clinical, staff and support functions. Careful consideration has been given to accessibility, ensuring the facility meets modern healthcare standards.

This project demonstrates how existing buildings can be adapted and extended to support the evolving needs of healthcare providers, delivering efficient, flexible and patient-focused environments.
